South Windsor

The Town of South Windsor in Central Connecticut is 28 square miles bordered by the Connecticut River and Scantic River and home to over 25,000 residents. South Windsor is an attractive community and offers easy access to major highways, a wealth of community activities, great shopping and restaurants while maintaining a rural atmosphere.

Old Main Street, located near the Connecticut River and running north to south from the border of East Hartford to that of East Windsor, is the center of the town's historical district. Wood Memorial Library, Ellsworth School, and the nation's oldest continually operating post office are located on the street.

South Windsor attracts many with its strong school system and a full range of community services.   Frequently scheduled cultural events, numerous parks, including a dog park and land with open fields and woods with walking trails throughout the community have been reserved for residents use. The Promenade Shoppes at Evergreen and the Buckland Hills Mall offers countless shops and restaurants all on the South Windsor/Manchester line.  Living in South Windsor has a great deal to offers its residents with its convenient location and great community living.
